Editor’s note

Esteemed colleagues and associates,
dear friends

At the 21th Congress of the National Association of Health Workers in Serbia, which is traditionally held in Vrnjačka banja, healthcare workers of various profiles gather again this time to present and summarize the acquired knowledge and innovate novelties that are important for the treatment and health care of patients. Through four plenary lectures, round tables, and expert announcements, colleagues will present their experiences, examples of professional practice, and adopted conclusions and recommendations for work, enabling the promotion and progress of the health profession. Innovative treatment methods, modern pharmaceutical approaches, and new diagnostic proposals and solutions will also be displayed.

Modern medicine is based on a multidisciplinary approach and teamwork in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of patients, as well as the provision of health care. All members of the team contribute equally, and hence, the large number of papers at this congress look at the same topics but from different aspects. It is precisely this diversity in approach that will enable a better understanding of current challenges and opportunities for solving them.

On behalf of the Scientific and Organizational Committee of the congress, we would like to thank the accredited plenary lecturers who accepted the invitation to participate in the 21th Congress of the National Associationtion of the Healthcare Workers in Serbia, as well as everyone who submitted their professional reports and thus became part of this issue of our journal.
