Editor’s note

Esteemed colleagues, dear readers,

It is my honor and pleasure to present to you another issue of the journal, which represents the Collection of plenary lectures and parts of expert announcements from the XXII Congress of the National Association of Health Workers of Serbia (NAUZRS), which, is, traditionally, being held in the beautiful Vrnjačka Banja. Plenary lectures will be held by eminent experts from various fields of medicine and management, who will give exceptional importance to interesting and above all current topics to this national gathering and to the advancement of science in the field of medicine and the quality of health care. Through a large number of expert announcements that will be orally presented at the congress, our colleagues will present their interesting cases from everyday practice, the results of their research, modern recommendations and guidelines for work, and in this way they will all contribute to the development of preventive practice, timely diagnosis of diseases and proper treatment of patients, which is our most meaninful task. I hope that this congress will be another great opportunity for the exchange of ideas, experiences and knowledge, as well as meaningful discussion.

I am also using this opportunity to send an invitation to my esteemed colleagues to send their papers for the next issues of the journal, the first of which will be printed in its entirety in December of this year. In this way, we will comply with our intention, which has been confirmed in practice for several years, which is that the journal “Medical word” is published four times a year, with a standard scheme that includes original and review papers, case reports and papers in the field of medical history in two issues, while two issues represent proceedings from the National Association of Health Workers of Serbia congress. The basic values ​​we stand for are quality, expertise, inventiveness and teamwork..
